At AW Performance Hockey, the safety and security of your child are of utmost importance to us. Our commitment to safety is reflected in the following policies and procedures:
1. Supervision and First Aid:
Your child will always be under careful supervision, including break and lunch times. Our staff includes a first aid-trained member who will be on-site during the entire camp.
2. Medical Information:
Please inform us of any relevant health details during the booking process, including medical, physical, or behavioral considerations. It is crucial for us to be aware of any health challenges, such as allergies, diabetes, or epilepsy. All information will be treated confidentially.
3. Additional Forms and Information:
In some cases, additional forms may be required. By signing up, you acknowledge that a first aid-trained team member may administer medical treatment or seek emergency advice if necessary.
4. Food – Lunch and Snacks:
Camp attendees are required to bring a packed lunch containing sufficient food and snacks to meet dietary and energy needs.
5. Hydration:
Proper hydration is crucial, especially during warm months. Parents are encouraged to provide drinks and snacks. Camp attendees should have a refillable water bottle, and regular water breaks will be scheduled.
6. Hot Weather Policy:
While children won't be exposed to excessive sun, parents are advised to take precautions, such as appropriate clothing and sunscreen. Staff won't apply sunscreen but will encourage children to do so.
7. Cold Weather Policy:
For February camps, sessions start at 10 am to allow optimal playing conditions. In case of inclement weather, parents will be notified by 9 am.
8. Protective Equipment:
Mouthguards and shin pads are mandatory during training and match play. Goalkeepers must provide their own equipment.
9. Photography:
Upon registration, permission will be sought for photographing or recording your child for promotional purposes. You have the right to refuse.
10. Booking and Payment Policy:
Parents are responsible for booking details. Payment must be made online via our website at the time of booking.
11. Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation up to 4 weeks before the camp starts is eligible for a refund (minus a 10% administrative charge).
12. Cancellation due to Illness or Injury:
Refunds, with a doctor's note, will be provided within 4 weeks of the camp start date (minus days attended and a 10% administrative charge).
13. Insurance:
All AW Performance Hockey coaches are fully insured.
14. Data Protection:
We follow the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and collect only necessary personal data. Your data will be securely stored and will only be used for specific purposes.
15. Your Rights:
Under GDPR, you have rights regarding your personal data, including access, correction, erasure, and objection.
